 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Bandits Kill Soldier, Abduct Zimbabwean, 1 Other In Kaduna

Bandits in large numbers invaded a farm in Anchau town of Kubau local government area of Kaduna State at the weekend, killed a soldier and abducted two officials of the farm.
 
LEADERSHIP gathered that one of the civilians abducted is a Zimbabwean national while the other is a Nigerian.

It was gathered that the bandits had entered an agreement after multi-million naira levy on Kaduna farmers to allow them farm had been breached.

The bandits according to a source invaded the company around 1:30pm on Wednesday.
‎A vigilante member working in the community identified the Zimbabwean as Mr Charles Choko.
‎“They bandits attacked and killed a soldier working in the farm any and also Kidnapped one Mr Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and one Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano state,” he said.
A local who pleaded anonymity disclosed that he saw a team of security agencies on Friday ‎going into the nearby bush in search of the abducted victims.

The chairman of the local government, Basher Suleiman Zuntu, failed to pick up his calls to react to the incident.
‎Kaduna State police spokesman, DSP Muhammed Jalige, did not respond to calls at the time of filing this report.
