 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Gov. Abiodun Approves 2019 Promotion, Appointment for MAPOLY Staff

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, has approved the 2019 Promotion and Appointment for the Staff of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

The approval, which had 20 Teaching and 9 Non-Teaching members of staff as beneficiaries, was conveyed through the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.

Breakdown of the beneficiaries include; Four Chief Lecturers, Fourteen Principal Lecturers, Three Chief Executive Officers, One Chief Librarian, One Chief Instructor, One Deputy Registrar, One Chief Confidential Secretary, Three Chief Accountants and One Chief Photographer.
