 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion. President Muhammadu Buhari shares the joyous occasion  with Prof. Joy Uche Ogwu and her family as she turns 76 years on August 22, 2022, congratulating the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, 2006-2007 and Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations, 2008-2017, for years of meritorious service in the diplomatic community and academia. 

 

President Buhari joins friends and professional colleagues of the former diplomat in celebrating the birthday, affirming that Prof. Ogwu’s experience and knowledge contributed generously in shaping the country’s foreign policies, particularly the economic diplomacy that she championed. 

 

The President rejoices with the scholar for her many achievements, starting from lecture halls, which include working at National War College, National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies and serving as the Director General of Nigeria Institute for International Affairs.

 

As the former President of the United Nations Security Council marks another age, the President acknowledges her cerebral support and advice to the multilateral institution and governments on issues of security across the globe, especially on disarmament, serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament.

 

President Buhari prays for good health and strength for the celebrant.
