 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Anambra State Emerges Winner of 2022 South East ANCOPPS Quiz Competition

Anambra has emerged winner of the 2022 South East All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools quiz competition.

The state clinched the top positions in the junior and senior categories with Maryam Ekesi, of Girls Secondary School, Awka emerging winner in the senior category while Miss Njoku Munachi of Queen of the Rosary College, Onitsha emerged as the winner in the junior category.

The competition took place at the All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools conference held in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Reacting, the President ANCOPSS, Anambra branch, Mr Jovita Arazu gave the victory to Mr Governor, Prof.Chukwuma Soludo adding that it was his passion and commitment to the education of umu-akwukwo Anambra that led to the feat.

The State Debate Coordinator, Mrs Amaka Aniekwe, commended the pupils for doing the state proud while noting that with this feat, the state will represent the southeast region in Bauchi state for the final competition.

The quiz competition is an annual event of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools.
