 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. GOV. ORTOM SUSPENDS BIPC MD OVER ALLEGED FINANCIAL IMPROPRIETY



Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, has suspended the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Benue Investment and Property Company, Limited, BIPC, Barr. Alex Adum, from office over financial impropriety leveled against him.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Anthony Ijoho, SAN, disclosed this in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Makurdi, on Sunday.

The statement read in part, “the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Samuel Ortom, has approved the indefinite suspension of Alex Ter Adum, Esq, from office as Managing Director/ CEO of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited pending the termination of cases of financial impropriety levelled against him.

The statement said the suspension is with immediate effect.

“He has therefore been directed to hand over to the General Manager, Corporate Service, Company Secretary, Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.”
