 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. GOV. ORTOM SUSPENDS BIPC MD OVER ALLEGED FINANCIAL IMPROPRIETY



Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, has suspended the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Benue Investment and Property Company, Limited, BIPC, Barr. Alex Adum, from office over financial impropriety leveled against him.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Anthony Ijoho, SAN, disclosed this in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Makurdi, on Sunday.

The statement read in part, “the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Samuel Ortom, has approved the indefinite suspension of Alex Ter Adum, Esq, from office as Managing Director/ CEO of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited pending the termination of cases of financial impropriety levelled against him.

The statement said the suspension is with immediate effect.

“He has therefore been directed to hand over to the General Manager, Corporate Service, Company Secretary, Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.”
