  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. N712 Million Fraud: You Have a Case to Answer, Court Tells Ex Gov. Lamido, Sons, Coys

The Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja and presided over by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu has dismissed the no case submission filed by a former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, who is being prosecuted by the EFCC on a 37-count amended charge bordering on abuse of office and money laundering to the tune of N712, 008, 035 (Seven Hundred and Twelve Million and Eight Thousand and Thirty Five Naira. He is to open his defense on November 8-11, 2022.

Ex governor Lamido was arraigned alongside two of his sons – Aminu Lamido and Mustapha Lamido; Aminu Wada Abubakar, Bamaina Holdings Ltd and Speeds International Ltd for allegedly defrauding the state.

He allegedly abused his position as governor between 2007 and 2015 by awarding contracts to companies where he had interest, using his two sons as fronts.
