 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. ABU Zaria Reopens October 24

Sequel to the suspension of the eight-month-old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has scheduled the resumption of academic activities for October 24, 2022

The university’s director of public affairs, Mallam Auwal Umar, made the disclosure in a press statement he issued yesterday.

He said the Senate of the university approved the resumption date at its 516th (emergency) meeting.

Umar said the Senate also approved the university’s revised academic calendar for the 2021/2022 session.

He said the calendar earlier approved by the Senate at its 513th (regular) meeting on November 25, 2021, had to be revised due to the strike which was called off last week by ASUU.
