 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF WOMEN, OBINABO TELLS GROUP DURING INTERFACE.

Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner Hon Ify Obinabo has urged group to be good ambassadors of women.

This she said in her office in Awka during an interface with Ufuma Development Union Awka branch (Women Wing) led by Prof. Ifeyinwa Ilo.

Welcoming the group, Hon Obinabo charged them to at all times, be examples of good women to others in their union by supporting the policies of the governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

Hon Obinabo called on them to be agents of change by being conscious of their environment. She also urged them not to hesitate in calling on the ministry if need be.

Earlier in her speech, the Leader of the group, Prof. Ifeyinwa Ilo who appreciated the honorable commissioner for receiving them noted that their aim of visiting is not only to congratulate her on her position but to also let her know that the group is ready to work with her in making the Soludo led administration a dream come true for ndị Anambra.

Highlight of the visit is the presentation of gift item by the group to the honorable commissioner for women and social welfare.
