 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. BOY MISTAKENLY KILLED BY HIS BROTHER WHILE TESTING A BULLETPROOF CHARM IN KWARA 


A twelve-year-old boy, Yusuf Abubakar died from gunshot wounds after his elder brother tested the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm (voodoo).

 A statement by the Kwara State Police command spokesperson Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin said on Sunday a report was received at Kaiama police station about the killing of 12 years old Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Okansanmi Ajayi disclosed that both boys are children of one Abubakar Abubakar a hunter in Dutse Gogo town in Kaiama Kwara State.

The spokesperson said that the incident occurred during the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm by the brothers.

The Kwara State police spokesman confirmed that after the children had fortified themselves with the charm, the elder son brought his father’s dane gun and shot his younger sibling to see if he will be immune to the shot.

Police added that the charm failed and the 12year old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.
