 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. BOY MISTAKENLY KILLED BY HIS BROTHER WHILE TESTING A BULLETPROOF CHARM IN KWARA 


A twelve-year-old boy, Yusuf Abubakar died from gunshot wounds after his elder brother tested the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm (voodoo).

 A statement by the Kwara State Police command spokesperson Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin said on Sunday a report was received at Kaiama police station about the killing of 12 years old Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Okansanmi Ajayi disclosed that both boys are children of one Abubakar Abubakar a hunter in Dutse Gogo town in Kaiama Kwara State.

The spokesperson said that the incident occurred during the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm by the brothers.

The Kwara State police spokesman confirmed that after the children had fortified themselves with the charm, the elder son brought his father’s dane gun and shot his younger sibling to see if he will be immune to the shot.

Police added that the charm failed and the 12year old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.
