 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. BOY MISTAKENLY KILLED BY HIS BROTHER WHILE TESTING A BULLETPROOF CHARM IN KWARA 


A twelve-year-old boy, Yusuf Abubakar died from gunshot wounds after his elder brother tested the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm (voodoo).

 A statement by the Kwara State Police command spokesperson Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin said on Sunday a report was received at Kaiama police station about the killing of 12 years old Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Okansanmi Ajayi disclosed that both boys are children of one Abubakar Abubakar a hunter in Dutse Gogo town in Kaiama Kwara State.

The spokesperson said that the incident occurred during the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm by the brothers.

The Kwara State police spokesman confirmed that after the children had fortified themselves with the charm, the elder son brought his father’s dane gun and shot his younger sibling to see if he will be immune to the shot.

Police added that the charm failed and the 12year old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.
