 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. FG GAVE $100 EACH TO THE 542 STRANDED NIGERIANS EVACUATED BY FG TODAY FROM THE UAE.(PHOTOS).

 A total of 542 stranded Nigerians in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) evacuated by the Federal Government arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe Int'l Airport Abuja on board the MaxAirLtd Charted flight.
The evacuees consisted of 79 males, 460 females and 3 infants.

The plane touched down at 4:29 am today 23/10/2022.

In addition, each returnee got a $100 note from Federal Government as support to facilitate their transport back to their various destinations.
