 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. HON OBINABO TO PARTNER NGOZI EZEONU, EBERE OKARO-ONYIUKE ON GIRL CHILD SENSITIZATION AND ENLIGHTENMENT.

The honorable Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify. Obinabo has assured of partnership with veteran movie actors on ways to promote women and girls through the movie industry.

This she revealed in her office in Awka during an interface with the movie stars. 

Speaking with Veteran Ngozi Ezeonu and Ebere Okaro-Onyiuke, Hon. Obinabo assured them of her readiness in partnering with the movie industry where plights of women and children would be thoroughly projected thereby sensitizing the world on the rights of women and children.

Earlier, while speaking, the screen goddesses explained that their purpose of visit is to collaborate with the Women and Social Welfare Ministry in enlightening members of the public and the world by extension, laws protecting women through their profession.
