 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES WILL REMAIN ONE INDIVISIBLE INSTITUTION - GEN CHINADE


 
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade has affirmed that the Nigerian Armed will Forces remain one indivisible institution that will continue to collaborate, cooperate, strategies and synergise in the defence of the territorial integrity of the country.  

Major General Chinade gave the affirmation when the Commander 671 Nigerian Airforce Detachment, Ibadan, Air Commodore Babatunde Folaji, paid him a courtesy visit to further cement the already established relationship among the two Institutions.
The GOC while applauding the existing synergy and cooperation among the security agents in the Division Area of Responsibility, noted that everybody in the country looks up to the Armed Forces for security and peaceful environment, which therefore calls for more jointness, cross information and the discharge of assigned duties with utmost responsibility.

Major General Chinade pointed out that beyond the security challenges is the political activities that has kicked off in the county, which he said calls for neutrality in all ramifications on the side of members of the Armed Forces. While assuring the NAF commander of continued assistance, the GOC enjoined commanders at all levels to continuously educate their subordinates and wards on personal and environmental security.

Earlier, the Commander 671 Airforce Detachment, Air Commodore Babatunde Folaji said the detachment has and will continue to collaborate and synergise with other security agencies for a peaceful and security free environment in Oyo State.
Air Commodore Folaji expressed appreciation for the continued support and assistance enjoyed from the Division especially in the area of medical facilities. He wished the GOC a successful tour of duty.
