 Kaduna Resident Commends Gov. Uba Sani Over Subsidized Transport Initiative A Kaduna-based resident has expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani following the introduction of subsidized transport vehicles aimed at reducing the burden of transportation costs in the state. In a letter dated May 4, 2026, Abba Galadima described witnessing the arrival of the vehicles at a local waiting point, where commuters gathered in anticipation.  He noted that the atmosphere was filled with excitement and relief as people welcomed the initiative. According to him, the visible joy among residents reflects the positive impact of the program, particularly at a time when many are facing economic challenges.  He added that the subsidized vehicles have made daily movement more affordable and accessible for the general public. Pickpockets Steal ex-Kaduna Governor Namadi Sambo’s Phone

Pickpockets on Thursday stole the mobile phone of a former Nigerian vice president, Namadi Sambo, at the NAF Conference Center, Abuja.

The former VP was invited as a guest of honour at the public presentation of biography and launching of Solomon Lar Leadership Institute.

The news of of the theft was revealed by one of the invited guests, Shehu Sani, on his verified Twitter handle.

“It’s incredible that someone can breach the tight security line and steal the phone of the former VP Sambo at the ongoing late Governor Solomon Lar Book launch in Abuja,” Mr Sani tweeted.

In reaction to the post, a Twitter user @ifGodbifomi said, “I can’t believe someone can have that audacity to do that. It’s rather embarrassing. Habaa Nigeria.”

Another one, @Asadeeq98: “Definitely our in-security has gone far out of hand ya Allah ka kare mu (May God protect us) Amin”.
