 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. Traffic robber was arrested after dispossessing motorist of valuables

The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has revealed that a traffic robber was arrested at Otedola bridge in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Lagos police spokesperson on his Twitter page added that the thief was arrested and dangerous items were recovered from him, including a locally fabricated toy guy.

Hundeyin added that investigations were already ongoing.

“Investigation is ongoing.”

In the picture of the thief posted by Hundeyin, hand gloves, screwdrivers and a lighter could be seen as the suspect knelt down in the Lagos police custody.
