 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. CULT CLASH: 5 DEAD IN RIVERS STATE AFTER A CULT CLASH AT ABUJA HOUSING ESTATE. (PHOTO).


The Rivers state police command has confirmed that Rival cult clash resulted in the death of five persons at Abuja Housing Estate, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State over the weekend.


Spokesperson of the rivers state police command Grace Koko revealed in a statement   that the shootout that ensued was between the invaders suspected to be members of the Greenland cult group and their rival, the Iceland cult group which resulted in the death of five persons and a woman who sustained gunshot injuries.


Grace KokoO however, assured that the Police’s tactical units had deployed to the area to restore peace and order just as investigations were on.


She gave the names of those killed as Chukwujeku Kingsley, 36 years, Chubuike ThankGod, 23 years and three others yet to be identified.
