 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Governor Soludo Changes Ngonadi As Commissioner for Trade And Commerce

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has changed the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Dr. Obinna Ngonadi to Commissioner for Industry.

The Governor yesterday at the Executive Council Meeting of State Government, approved the renaming of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to Ministry of Industry.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Ngonadi will henceforth be addressed as the Commissioner for Industry.

The Trade and Commerce aspect of the Ministry will, until further notice, be domiciled under the Governor's Office. By implication, all activities relating to trade and commerce should be channeled to the Governor's Office. 

Recall that there has been series of allegations against the Hon. Ngonadi where some market Leaders wrote countless petitions against the Commissioner.

While some claimed he took bride to interfere in the leadership issues of some markets, others claimed he is on a vendetta move to demolish some shops owned by his enemies and those who doesn't agree with him.

The recent move by the Governor to remove him from Trade and Commerce Ministry cannot be unconnected to all the stories of his handling of the previous office.
