Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. HEADS OF SECURITY AGENCIES AND PARA MILITARY ORGANIZATIONS MEETS IN HQ 2 DIVISION NA IBADAN


The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Maj Gen Aminu Chinade today 16 November 2022 hosted all Heads of Security  and Para Military Agencies in Oyo State to brainstorm on the rising wave of criminality in Ibadan and environs as well as kidnappings on the Lagos- Ibadan Express Road.

In his opening remarks, Gen Chinade called for more concerted efforts from all and sundry to tackle the recent rise in criminality and advocated for more synergy to stop this dastardly acts on the Lagos- Ibadan Express Road by this undesirable elements. Also, the GOC solicited for better ideas in  information sharing and monitoring among the security agencies. This the GOC believes will put the security agencies ahead in planning robust ways of countering the nefarious activities of this hoodlums.

The meeting is the first in the series as it generated frank discussions from all and an agreement that such meetings should  regularly hold to address issues that boarder on security speedily. 

In attendance includes- the Commander 671 Nigerian Air Force  Detachment, the Commissioner of Police Oyo State, Director State Services and other Heads of Security Agencies in Oyo State.
