 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Buhari sacks NYSC DG 6 months after appointment



Less than six months after assuming office as the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate removal of Brigadier-General Muhammad Kukah Fadah, from office as the Scheme’s DG.

Although reasons have not been provided (at press time) by the presidency for the sacking of Gen. Fadah, credible sources in the Villa told PRNigeria that the NYSC boss’ removal is not unconnected with the fact that Fadah has exhibited ‘glaring incompetence’ in the 6 months he has piloted the affairs of NYSC.

Meanwhile, PRNigeria gathered that the ousted NYSC Director General has been asked to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the organisation, who is to act as DG in the interim.
