M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". OPENING REMARKS BY THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND CULTURE, ALHAJI LAI
MOHAMMED, AT THE 5TH EDITION OF THE ''PMB ADMINISTRATION SCORECARD 2015-2023'' SERIES IN ABUJA ON MONDAY, 28 NOV. 2022.

PROTOCOL

2.  I welcome you all, once again, to the 'PMB Administration Scorecard 2015-2023 Series'. This is the fifth edition of the series, which we launched in October to showcase the achievements of the Buhari Administration. To date, we have had presentations from the Honourable Ministers of Works and Housing, Transportation, Aviation as well as Interior. Today, the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will brief us on the achievements of his Ministry.

3.   Please note that on Thursday, Dec. 1st, it will be the turn of the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment to brief us.

4.   Before today's presentation, please permit me to quickly make an announcement. It has come to the attention of the government that Nigerian travellers to the United States and some countries in Europe are having their belongings, especially money and international passports, stolen at an increasingly high
rate. The most recent victims of this are travelers to the UK, most of whom were dispossessed of their belongings at high brow shops, particularly in the high street of Oxford. We have therefore decided to advise Nigerians travelling to Europe and the United States to take extra precaution to avoid being dispossessed of their belongings.

5.  This is not your typical travel advisory. Issuing such is the prerogative of our embassies/high commissions as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is merely a piece of advice to Nigerians who may be visiting the affected parts of the world.

6.  May I now call on the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to make his presentations, after which we'll take questions from the gentlemen of the press.

Honourable Minister please!.
