 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. ALLEGED MURDER OF OMOBOLANLE RAHEEM: LAGOS COURT REMANDS ASP VANDI TODAY.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.


Today, the 30th day of December 2022, the Honourable Attorney-General of Lagos State, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, appeared at the Yaba Magistrate Court before Her Honour Chief Magistrate C.A. Adedayo for the remand proceedings of ASP Drambi Vandi who was alleged to have murdered Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem which sad event occurred on the 25th of December, 2022 at Ajah Roundabout, Ajah. 

In a statement by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the remand proceeding was filed pursuant to Section 264 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2015 (As amended).  

The remand request had attached to it one count of Murder contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law Ch. C17 Vol. 3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015, an affidavit deposed to by O.R. Saliu (Ms.) an Assistant Director in the Ministry of Justice and the copy of the statement of the Suspect ASP Drambi Vandi. 

The Chief Magistrate granted the request of the Honourable Attorney-General and ordered the remand of the Suspect for the first 30 days in line with the provision of the law pending further investigation by the Police. The Court directed the Police to forward the duplicate case file to the office of the DPP and adjourned the case to the 30th of January, 2023 for the review of the remand Order and report on the Legal Advice by the DPP. 
The Hon. Attorney-General appeared alongside Ms. Titilayo Shitta-Bey, the Solicitor General of Lagos State; Dr. Babajide Martins, the Director of Public Prosecutions; Adebayo Haroun, Deputy Director; Y.O. Cardoso, O/C Legal Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command and O.R. Saliu, Assistant Director while Moses Jah-Nissi appeared for ASP Drambi Vandi.
