 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Building Material International Market Ogidi Disburses Eight Million Naira To Traders, Distribute Food Items.



In the spirit of Christmas, Building Material International Market, Ogidi has disbursed the sum of eight million naira to sixteen traders in the market who are struggling in their business. 

It also distributed cash, food and material items worth over five million naira to the indigent and women of the market.

The disbursement and distribution exercise took place at the market premises during its annual end of year prayer.

Among the Beneficiaries of the Food items are children from orphanage homes, persons living with disability, widows and street beggars.

Speaking to ABS in an interview, the President General of the market, Chief Jude Nwankwo said the exercise is their little way of giving back to the society especially the less privileged. 

Chief Nwankwo advised beneficiaries of the eight million naira to make good use of the money pointing out that the five hundred thousand naira allocated to each person, if properly utilized will help them bounce back to their feet.

He appreciated God for the peace and progress enjoyed in the market, members of his executives for their team work and all who contributed to putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries.

Members of the market executive, Sir Chris Okafor and Mrs. Juilet Uche lauded Chief Nwankwo for setting the pace for others to follow while some of the beneficiaries, Mr. Sunday Anoluo and Mrs. Jessy Ukeachusi appreciated the market executives for their kind gesture.

The end of year prayer featured award presentations to Chief Nwankwo, installation of new market patrons and festivals of carols and nine lessons by choristers of St. Monica's Anglican Church, Woliwo, Onitsha.
