 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Christmas: Yobe Governor supports over 500 Christians widows, Orphans, and vulnerable groups with food items. 

His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON as part of his Government effort to support vulnerable persons across the state, on Friday 23 December 2022 directed SEMA to reach out to selected population in need ahead of 2022 Christmas celebrations. 
The beneficiaries for this year were carefully selected by the leadeship of CAN Yobe State chaired by Bishop Yohana Audu and supported by SSA on interfaith to His Excellency Emmanuel Degubi Ayuba .

At the official flag off of the distribution, the Executive Secretary SEMA called on beneficiaries to be there brothers keepers and share with neighbourhood in the spirit of extending love and unity. He assured them of Governor Bunis readiness to continue supporting vulnerable population across the state within available resources. 

The CAN chairman who was represented by the State CAN secretary Rev Abako prayed for unity and peaceful election come 2023.

The SSA to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON on interfaith Hon. EMMANUEL Degubi while thanking Yobe State SEMA said " this is the first time in History of Yobe State we have 13 SA and SSA appointed by Governor and we will reciprocate this gestuure come 2023 election."
Beneficiaries cut across the state and different support groups and the support aimed at cushioning the hardship vulnerable persons may encounter during the celebrations.
