GBOKO COUNCIL CHAIR BLOWS HOT ON CRIMINALS AND KIDNAPPERS

.... clampsdown on kidnappers den

The council chairman of Gboko LG Chief Isaac Mtom  in his efforts to live up to his primary duty of ensuring the protection of lives and property today invaded a den of kidnappers located behind Gboko Polytechnic with the men of the Nigerian police.

The report by the IPO Philip Ikagwu has it that, a 4 years old child was kidnapped and taken to the above location.
The report revealed that, the 4 arrested suspects usually used a mixture of hard drugs (Tramadol) in milk juice to  induce the baby to sleep at all times to avoid alerting the neighborhood with noise.

Chief Mtom who was appalled by the story ordered that the law of Benue State against kidnapping be enforced immediately.
Men of the police were on ground to ensure that the hideout was demolished as stated in the aforementioned law.

In the same vein the Gboko Traditional Council headed by the Ter Gboko arising from an emergency meeting, threw their weight behind the Chairman and assured him of their total support of the earlier announced EXECUTIVE ORDER banning all Social gatherings within the local government, that it was for the good of the people.

The Chairman further condemned the act and assured the people of Gboko to remain calm, that he will do his best to overturn the issue of insecurity advising the people to look above political divides and reassured the people that no amount of intimidation will make him hand over Gboko to crime.

Hon. Mtom earlier visited families of the victims of the recent armed robberies within the town and also inspected a Toyota bus that was recovered by security agencies from last night's robbery.
