 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Governor Makinde, a Christmas baby, is an embodiment of God’s blessing, beloved of the people; a humane personality and exceptionally dedicated administrator who remains committed to the unity, stability and development of our dear nation.

As a committed member of the PDP, Governor Makinde continues to display excellent leadership strides particularly in effectively delivering landmark and legacy projects for the benefit of the people in line with the manifesto, policies and programmes of the PDP.
