 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Kaduna Teachers To Protest On Monday Over Unpaid Salary

The newly recruited secondary teachers by Kaduna state government are set to stage a peaceful protest on Monday 12th December 2022.

According to them, the protest is as a result of the seven months salaries they are owed by the state government under Governor Nasiru El-Rufai.

Recall that the teachers were handed letters of offer of provisional appointments on 19th July, 2021.

According to them, they had to wait until 17th May, 2022 before they were deployed. Since their deployment, the government has not paid them their salaries despite the high cost of living the country is currently facing, they said. 

They are calling on all the teachers concerned to converge at the state secretariat, ministry of education on Monday 12th December, 2022 to demand for justice for their unpaid seven months salaries.

Over four thousand newly recruited teachers are expected to take part in the protest, they said.
