 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. PETER OBI & VICTOR UMEH JOIN GOV. UGWUANYI, OBASANJO, PA ADEBANJO IN FELICITATING WITH NNIA NWODO @70TH BIRTHDAY 


The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and the Party's Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh have joined friends and well-wishers of the former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo in felicitating with him on his 70th Birthday Celebration. 

The very colorful Event which started with Thanksgiving Mass at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, New Heaven, Enugu, presided by the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga and concelebrated by a team of Bishops and Priests subsequently turned into glintz and glamour, a gathering of the creme de la creme at the Oakland Event Center, Enugu where guests were treated lavishly; dancing and cheering the Celebrant. 

Senator Victor Umeh in a remark congratulated the new septuagenarian, Chief Nnia Nwodo and extolled him for his remarkable impacts in the Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and towards achieving a better progressive Igboland. He described Chief Nwodo as a true patriotic Citizen who has contributed immensely in promoting the advocacy for justice, peace and unity in Nigeria. The OBI-dient Senator further prayed for many more happy years and good health of mind and body for the Celebrant. 

Among the notable persons who graced the Event were the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council and Obi of Onitsha, HRM Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, the Leader of Pan-Yoruba Socio-Cultural Group —Afenifere, Pa Ayo Odebanjo and the Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by the National Vice President, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene among numerous others.
