 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 23-Year-Old NSUK Student Emerges New Miss Buh

A 23-year-old student of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Miss Becky Yanga Alex has won the 2022/2023 edition of Miss Buh Beauty Pageant. 

She was announced winner at the grand finale held on Saturday, December 31 in Nakere, the headquarters of the Buh-speaking ethnic group in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. 

The 23-year-old student defeated Miss Yangah Peter Bala to succeed Miss Tessy Danazumi Gamna as Miss Buh. 

Similarly, Isaac Peter has emerged as the new Mr. Buh of the 2022/2023 edition unopposed. 

Speaking at the event, the youth leader of Buh Cultural Development Association (BCDA), Comrade Alfred Audu Gbaja said the pageantry was aimed fostering peace and unity. 

The event was attended by sons and daughters of the ethnic group from all walks of life.
