 "It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth". Njideks Akunyili is the daughter of Dora Akunyili, who was the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008. 23-Year-Old NSUK Student Emerges New Miss Buh

A 23-year-old student of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Miss Becky Yanga Alex has won the 2022/2023 edition of Miss Buh Beauty Pageant. 

She was announced winner at the grand finale held on Saturday, December 31 in Nakere, the headquarters of the Buh-speaking ethnic group in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. 

The 23-year-old student defeated Miss Yangah Peter Bala to succeed Miss Tessy Danazumi Gamna as Miss Buh. 

Similarly, Isaac Peter has emerged as the new Mr. Buh of the 2022/2023 edition unopposed. 

Speaking at the event, the youth leader of Buh Cultural Development Association (BCDA), Comrade Alfred Audu Gbaja said the pageantry was aimed fostering peace and unity. 

The event was attended by sons and daughters of the ethnic group from all walks of life.
