 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. ACTDA Boss, Onuko Cautions Developers Against Building Without Approval




The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr. Ossy Onuko has cautioned land developers within the capital territory not to embark on any construction without getting appropriate approvals from the agency.


Mr. Onuko who stated this while speaking to the ABS in his office in Awka noted that ACTDA will not hesitate to remove any building that was built without approval.


He maintained that the agency under his watch will continue to deliver on the mandate envisaged before creating it and made it clear that no amount of pressure from any quarter will make ACTDA to compromise.


Mr. Onuko equally advised those trading along roads within the jurisdiction of the agency to stop forthwith or face the wrath of ACTDA, even as he warned those pasting posters on the flyovers in Awka to desist from such ugly behaviour.


According to the ACTDA Managing Director, his team will continue with all the Projects they embarked upon last year like operation zero potholes, clean and green initiative, removal of illegal structures among others.


The ACTDA Managing Director urged Ndi Anambra to keep supporting the Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration for a prosperous and liveable homeland.


He further warned all the staff of the agency to always be professional in the discharge of their duties as anyone found wanting under any guise would be penalized accordingly to serve as a deterrent to others.
