 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. P&ID Scam: Court Grants Ex-Lagos Attorney-General, Shasore’s Application to Travel Abroad, Adjourns Till Feb.21

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, January 16, 2022, granted an application filed by a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State, Oladipo Shasore, SAN, seeking to travel abroad for medical treatment.

Justice Aneke granted the permission, following a motion filed and argued by Shasore’s team of counsel led by Paul Usoro, SAN, a former President, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and Olawale Akoni, SAN.

According to the defence team, Shasore was diagnosed with lattice retinal degeneration to both the left and right eyes as well as chronic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment to the right eye.

The diagnosis reports, issued by Prof. Tom H. Williamson, a Consultant Ophthalmologist at The London Claremont Clinic of St. Thomas Hospital London, were attached as Exhibit SS3.

In response, the prosecution counsel, Bala Sanga, did not oppose the application, saying that “Only the living can stand trial.”

Consequently, Justice Aneke held that “The application praying this court’s discretion to travel for medical treatment in London, The United Kingdom, dated 30th of December, 2022,without opposition, is hereby granted as prayed.

“The defendant is permitted to travel on the 18th of January and return on the 5th of February.”

The case was adjourned till February 21, 2023 for commencement of trial.
