 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Today, as the world heralds an overwhelming sound of praise to the Almighty for you, I stand still, and in awe-striking thanksgiving to God who has blessed you with long life lived in good health and purpose.

PRESIDENT BUHARI REJOICES WITH PASTOR PAUL ADEFARASIN AT 60

President Muhammadu Buhari shares in celebrations with the Prelate and Metropolitan Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, on his 60th birthday, January 25, 2023.

The President joins family members, friends, congregants of House on the Rock and well-wishers in felicitating with the spiritual leader, who has dedicated his life to propagating the gospel of Christ, and serving humanity, especially with The Rock Foundation.
 
President Buhari believes the Bible teacher has expanded in influence and leadership within the country and beyond, with accompanying goodwill, mentoring other preachers and ministers who have sustained the peace and love of Christianity.

As the Convener and Host of The Experience, an annual gospel concert, turns 60, the President notes the role of the church in infrastructure development, particularly in the health and educational sector.

The President prays that the Almighty God will continue to bless Adefarasin with good health, strength and wisdom, and remember his family, especially his co-labourer and wife, Ifeanyi.
