 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Police nab 3 suspected kidnappers, rescue male victim in Rivers

The Rivers state police command has arrested three suspected kidnappers, Vincnet Sunday, Ekene Micheal and Mahammed Oluwasegun at Obelle community in Emohua LGA and rescued one Martins, Nze from Akwa, Anambra state.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the command SP GRACE IRINGE KOKO said base on credible Information, the Rumuji Police division moblize patrol team on Tuesday 10th January at about 8:39pm raided an uncompleted building used for criminal hideout in Obelle community and rescued the victim.

The statement said the victim car, a Toyota Corolla was recovered, one Single Barrel Dane Gun was also recovered from the suspects as they will be charged to court once the investigations are completed.

The PPRO statement further reaffirmed the command commitment to reducing crime and criminality in all its forms to a bare minimum, while Irving members of the public members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police on the following emergency numbers: 08039213071, 08098880134.
