 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Police nab 3 suspected kidnappers, rescue male victim in Rivers

The Rivers state police command has arrested three suspected kidnappers, Vincnet Sunday, Ekene Micheal and Mahammed Oluwasegun at Obelle community in Emohua LGA and rescued one Martins, Nze from Akwa, Anambra state.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the command SP GRACE IRINGE KOKO said base on credible Information, the Rumuji Police division moblize patrol team on Tuesday 10th January at about 8:39pm raided an uncompleted building used for criminal hideout in Obelle community and rescued the victim.

The statement said the victim car, a Toyota Corolla was recovered, one Single Barrel Dane Gun was also recovered from the suspects as they will be charged to court once the investigations are completed.

The PPRO statement further reaffirmed the command commitment to reducing crime and criminality in all its forms to a bare minimum, while Irving members of the public members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police on the following emergency numbers: 08039213071, 08098880134.
