 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Slain Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, Buried In Lagos

 

Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, who was shot dead on Christmas Day in Lagos, has been buried in the Ikoyi area of Lagos on Tuesday.


A service of songs was held on Monday before her burial Tuesday.

 

Meanwhile, the trial of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, accused of killing her has commenced at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square annex, on Monday. He pleaded not guilty to the one count of murder, that he’s facing.

OMOBOLANLE RAHEEM: LAGOS ARRAIGNS ASP DRAMBI VANDI AT HIGH COURT


Lagos State Government on Monday arraigned Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Drambi Vandi before Hon. Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, on a one-count charge for allegedly killing Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem at Ajah roundabout, along Lekki Expressway, Lagos on the 25th of December, 2022.


The Commissioner and Attorney-General of Lagos State, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), who led the prosecution team, argued that the offence violates Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.


He later cross-examined two witnesses for the Plaintiff, while the Defense Counsel, Mr. Adetokunbo Odutola is scheduled to continue with his questioning of the witnesses on the next adjournment date.


While acknowledging the Not Guilty plea of the accused, Hon. Justice Ibironke Harrison stated that the case would be given an accelerated hearing and adjourned the matter till January 25 and 26, 2023 for the continuation of the trial.
