  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. THE EXECUTIVE BILL TO LEGALIZE THE IMO STATE COUNCIL OF ELDERS HAS BEEN ASSENTED TO - GOV. UZODIMMA 


The Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has announced that the Executive bill legalising the Imo Council of Elders has been assented to. 

Governor Uzodimma made this known while playing host to the Imo State Council of Elders, who came on a courtesy visit. 

While commending their times and sacrifices, the Governor enjoined them to speak to the conscience of the political class of the opposition to allow peace to reign in Imo State. 

He added that the interest of the Government is to improve the welfare of its citizens, rebuild dilapidated infrastructures and ensure peace and security. 

According to the Governor, "I will not preside over a State that will be destroyed by non-state actors", I pray wise counsel prevails for the betterment of Ndi Imo. 

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Imo State Council of Elders, HRM Eze Dr. Cletus Ilomuanya CON, appreciated the Governor for his goodwill and support for the council with the free hand to run their affairs. He reiterated their promise to continue to work for the expectations of the public.
