Tinubu forgave Northern govs who opposed him in 2023, says Shettima Vice President Kashim Shettima has said President Bola Tinubu demonstrated political maturity by forgiving northern governors who opposed his presidential bid in the 2023 election, urging politicians in Kwara State to similarly reconcile after their contests. Shettima stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while speaking at the turbaning of the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari. The Vice President, who spoke against the backdrop of political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, urged politicians to regard political contests as temporary and avoid allowing disagreements arising from them to become permanent divisions. He said, “I call on all of us to unite in this political season and play politics without bitterness. CRIME BULLETIN 

CULPABLE HOMICIDE, 
CAUSING GRIEVOUS HURT, AND KIDNAPPING 

A distress call received by the command on the 22nd January 2022 at about 0345hrs indicates that on the same date at about 0200hrs, some unknown gunmen invaded Gambar Sabon layi village and attacked innocent residents.
on receiving the report, detectives of the command were drafted to the scene led by the DPO Tafawa Balewa Divisional Police Headquarters evacuated the victims to the Tafawa Balewa General Hospital for medical treatment. 
Unfortunately, four victims were certified dead by the medical doctor, while one person sustained various degrees of injury during the attack.

Similarly, one person was confirmed to have been kidnapped to an unknown destination by the assailants.

The Commissioner of Police CP Aminu Alhassan psc (+) directed a discreet investigation to commence in earnest to arrest the perpetrators of this dastardly act to face the wrath of the law.

RECOVERY OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION 

In its recent sustained operations, which in recent days recorded a tremendous success by denying the miscreants a breathing space to carry out their nefarious activities.

Operatives attached to the command acted on credible intelligence and uncovered an armory of suspected kidnappers.

On the 22nd January 2023, a patrol team attached to Liman Katagum Divisional Police headquarters led by the DPO while on patrol around the Tudun Wada area of Liman Katagum, Bauchi LGA.

Consequently, an underground armory was uncovered, and the following items were recovered;
Three (3) AK47 rifles
One (1) LAR rifle 
One (1) LAR Magazine
Forty-nine (49) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
Nine (9) AK47 magazines
One (1) pair of army camouflage jacket
One (1) pair of Police camouflage trousers.

While commending the operatives, the Commissioner of Police CP Aminu Alhassan psc (+) ordered round-the-clock surveillance around the area in a bid to arrest the miscreants.
