 TURNING WASTE TO WEALTH: LASEPA PARTNERS ORORO WASTE MANAGEMENT LTD. TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF USED COOKING OIL The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) is partnering with Ororo Waste Management Ltd to promote the recycling of used cooking oil for wealth creation, sustainable environment and public health safety. As such, the Agency in collaboration with Ororo Waste Management Ltd on Tuesday organised a One-Day public sensitisation programme on sustainable management of used cooking oil with the Theme: “Turning Used Cooking Oil to Wealth: Prospects and Opportunities,”  The event, which was held at the Protea Hotels, Alausa, Ikeja, brought together people from different walks of life who shared knowledge on the new recycling initiative for healthy living and sustainable environmental growth. CHANGE OF DATE FOR NIGERIAN AIR FORCE DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION 31/2022 ENLISTMENT SCREENING EXERCISE


This is to inform the general public that the screening exercise for candidates shortlisted for Direct Short Service Commission       (DSSC 31/2022) earlier scheduled for 2 – 19 March 2023, has been reschedule for 1 – 9 March 2023 for both Batches (A and B). Please note that the exercise is in progressive phases and late reporting will not be entertained.  Accordingly, candidates are hereby advised to report promptly on Wednesday 1 March 2023 for the exercise. All other details remain unchanged. For emphasis, screening Exercise for Batches A and B is to hold from 1 – 9 March 2023.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
