 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. 20 YEAR OLD MAN DEFILES GIRLFRIEND AGED 14


 

A 14-year-old girl, of Kamitondo area in Kitwe on the Copperbelt, has allegedly been defiled by her 20-year-old boyfriend, of the same area.


Copperbelt commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba says the victim went to see her elder sister within Kamitondo but on her way there, she met her boyfriend, Isaac Kumwenda.


Kumwenda told her to go to his home and sweep the house but he later defiled her.


Mweemba  explained that the suspect also took pictures of the two and posted on Facebook, while they were inside the house.


Mweemba has added that upon seeing the photos, people informed the mother, who went to Kumwenda’s house and found her daughter in his house.


He says police interviewed the victim, in the presence of the accused, over the matter and she accepted that the suspect had s*x with her in the house.


The suspect has been apprehended and will appear in court soon.
