 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. EFCC Arrests 18 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo

Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, March 24, 2023 arrested eighteen (18) suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Uyo and Mberebe, in Etinan Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State.

The suspects whose ages range between 19 and 31,   were arrested following actionable intelligence  linking them to  alleged online criminal activities.

Items recovered from them include laptops, mobile phones and a Point of Sale (POS) machine.

The suspects   will be arraigned as soon as the investigations are concluded
