 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Governor Abiodun has not dissolved cabinet, says OGSG

The Ogun State Government has refuted the report being circulated on some social media platforms, claiming that the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has dissolved the State Executive Council.

An online news medium, The Encounter, had reported that the governor had dissolved his cabinet.

But in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, described the report as not only untrue, but misleading.

According to him, Governor Abiodun, having won his reelection, has continued to perform his functions as governor by working with members of his cabinet.

Somorin, who affirmed that the state exco is still intact as the governor has not directly or indirectly announced any dissolution, urged the people to disregard the report, which according to him is the figment of the imagination of the writer of the story.
