 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. Gunmen Kill 2 NSCDC Personnel In Imo

Two personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Imo State have been allegedly killed by gunmen in the early hours of today Monday 28 March 2023.

Information available indicates that the gunmen ambushed and killed the Operatives while driving through the EkeIsu market in Obiangwu Community, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of the state.

The incident has been confirmed by the Imo State Command of the NSCDC.

According to Channels Television, the state spokesman for the corps, Chimeziri Noel, said as part of the primary assignment and mandate of the agency, the officers were on routine monitoring of some critical national assets and infrastructure in the area when the incident occurred.

Noel said the NSCDC officers were attacked and killed by bandits in the early hours of Monday, adding that their bodies had been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre in Owerri.

The spokesman noted that security has been beefed up in the area.

According to him, while an investigation has kicked off into the unfortunate incident, the command with the assistance of other security agencies has activated a search party to go after the hoodlums.
