  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. 39-year-old Cameroonian teacher, Kwoyela has married his lover, Kahboh Patience.


The traditional and civil wedding took place in Bali Nyonga, on Friday April 7. While the church wedding was held in Bamenda, North West Region on Saturday, April 8, 2023.


The couple caused a stir on social media after they announced their union few weeks ago.


Derick said he had struggled with societal stereotypes before finding love in Patience.
