 STAEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   PRESIDENT TINUBU: WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUSTAIN BUHARI'S LEGACIES.   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday in Abuja, stated that his administration will continue to honour former President Muhammadu Buhari by sustaining his legacies of purposeful leadership, discipline, integrity, and the belief that public office is a trust, not a windfall.   President Tinubu made this commitment at the State House Conference Centre during the unveiling and public presentation of the book, *From Soldier to Statesman – The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari*, authored by Dr Charles Omole.   He said the book offers Nigerians the opportunity to learn from President Buhari, and affirmed that the greatest honour to bestow on the late President is to sustain his legacies.   "This book reinforces the public memory. FG is committed to ensuring food security— Ministry  

The federal government, has reiterated its's commitment to boost agricultural production, to ensure food security .

The minister of water resources, Engineer Sulaiman Hussaini Adamu, made the indication during the launching  of the N14 billion Gari irrigation project.

According to him, the dam situated between Kano and Jigawa states, would assist irrigation farmers in Dambatta, Makoda, Gari, Kazaure and Roni local government areas.

Engineer Hussaini Adamu said, the Dam, would serve over two thousand hecters of irrigation land, 44kg bug  canals, 6 tanks and feeder roads.

Also speaking, the managing director  Hadejia/Jama'are river basin authority, Alhaji Mahmud  Da'u Aliyu, described the irrigation site  as a catalyst to creating jobs, and boosting agricultural production.

He charged farmers to make judicous use of the facilities.

The team also  visited Kadawa in Garun/malam local government area kano, to flag off a hybrid seeds center, where farmers in Kano and other  neighbouring states, would benefit from maize, rice, sesame seeds among others.
