 A Tennessee family, and an entire community, has been left stunned and grieving after a pack of dogs took the life of a man out for a jog. When 43-year-old Marko Bursey arrived in Henning, Tennessee, to visit his parents, he had no idea that he would never be returning back to his home in Nashville. Marko could have never imagined the terrible fate that awaited him, lurking in the woods, near an abandoned school.  However, Marko's horrific death has had an indelible effect on not just his loved ones but an entire community as they search for answers on how this tragedy unfolded. GOV. ORTOM OF BENUE ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM OF PURE BIOTECH LTD

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has directed the Commissioners for Water and Environment, Industries and Cooperatives, as well as Agriculture and Natural Resources, to immediately investigate the report that Pure Biotech Company Limited located along Makurdi – Gboko road has a sewage disposal system that empties waste into River Benue thereby contaminating the water and endangering aquatic life in the river.


The Governor through his Special Adviser, Media & Publicity, Terver Akase, said he expects the three Commissioners to report back to him with their findings as quickly as possible, for the next line of action.


He commended the patriotic disposition of the Benue Hike Tourism group who raised alarm over the matter and gives assurance that his administration will continue to accord priority to the safety of Benue people.


Governor Ortom urged people of the state to sustain their vigilance and always assist the government with timely and useful information on happenings around them.
