 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. IGP CONSIDERS INTERNAL CHECKS, VACCINATION AGAINST HEPATITIS B AMONG POLICE PERSONNEL



Harps on Better Health Conditions


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, in line with his administration’s policy on health and wellness amongst officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, has approved the partnership of the Nigeria Police Medical Services with the Daniel Onoja Foundation for the efficient organization of a 3-day Hepatitis B Testing/Screening for members of the Nigeria Police Force to promote good health practices amongst officers and men of the Force.


The exercise which will take place from Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st April 2023 at three designated centres viz the Force Headquarters Sick Bay, Muhammadu Buhari Police Hospital, Area 11, Garki, and the Police Hospital, Dei-Dei, all in Abuja, is targeted at creating awareness on the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) which infects more than 300 million people worldwide and is a common cause of liver disease and liver cancer.


The Inspector General of Police has therefore charged Police Officers and Men to take advantage of this exercise, which will subsequently cascade down to Zonal and State Commands, to get first-hand knowledge and awareness of the virus. He equally charged them to prioritize their health as it is vital for robust policing services to members of the public.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
