 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. MAFINGA WOMAN KILLS HER HUSBAND FOR REFUSING TO GIVE HER K300


A 52-year-old man of Mafinga, Muchinga Province, has been hacked to death by his wife after he failed to give her a K300 she demanded for while they were drinking alcohol in the house.

Derrick Kaonga, 52, of Kaseya village, was allegedly hacked by wife Grace Musukwa, 46, on Sunday around 23:00 hours.

Kaonga sustained deep cuts on the neck, chin and right hand.

According to information gathered by the police, Mr Kaonga  last month travelled to Kachindu village, where he was hired to cut timber and paid K1300 when he returned, he gave K1000  to his wife and remained with K300. This annoyed the wife who wanted all the money. After a heated argument, she picked an axe and hit the man who died instantly. As he was dying, she searched her pocket and got the K300 she wanted.😭😭.
