 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A MOTHER SLUMPED AND DIED AFTER HER SON DIED IN AN AUTO CRASH ON HIS WAY HOME FROM KWARA AFTER COMPLETING HIS NYSC.(PHOTO).

Young man k!lled in auto crash on his way home from Kwara after completing NYSC; his mum slumps and d!es after hearing the sad news


A young man identified as Christian Ugbede Abuka, has d!ed in an auto crash two days after he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Kwara State.


It was gathered that Christian collected his NYSC certificate on Thursday, May 25, 2025. 


The accident was said to have occurred in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday, May 28. 


His ailing mother, who was eagerly expecting him, slumped and d!ed after receiving news of his d£ath.


His brother, Joseph Abuka, confirmed the sad news on Facebook.


"It was a dark day in my family today. My younger brother Christian Ugbede Abuka was involved in a fatal accident on his way back from Kwara state for his NYSC documentation and he died. This resulted in his mother death. Nothing to say but to thank God." he wrote.
