 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF GBOKO SET TO COMMISSION A RADIO STATION IN GBOKO

Plans are underway by Catholic Diocese of Gboko under the leadership of Most Bishop William Avenya to set up a standard Radio station in Gboko to cater for the information need of the town, state and Nigeria at large.

The yet-to-be commissioned station will be known as "Radio Maria Gboko" and work is in top gears in other to complete the task at the appropriate time.

Radio Maria Studio is Located at "Villa Emmanuel Annex, GRA, Gboko" 

At this point it is worthy to note that Bishop William Amove Avenya of Gboko Diocese is doing exceptionally well in many ramifications of preaching the gospel and ensuring that it
reaches the ends of the earth (Matthew24:14, 28:19).

It could be recalled that under Bishop William Avenya, Gboko Diocese can boost of a Standard Hospital "St John's Hospital Gboko", an "Orphanage Home in Gboko", a Propose "University under construction at Vandeikya", and an "Online Radio Station" just to mention but a few.
