The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Tori Bowie's management has confirmed the sad death of the former 100m World Champion. Bowie won the 2017 World title, and won the Silver medal in the women's 100m at Rio 2016 Olympics.

“We’re devasted to share the very sad news that Tori Bowie has passed away. We’ve lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister. Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shined so bright! We’re truly heartbroken and our prayers are with the family and friends." Icon wrote in a statement
