 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. NAF Evacuates 94 Nigerians From Sudan

Nigerian Airforce-NAF has evacuated 94 Nigerians stranded in Sudan.

In a statement by Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa says the evacuees arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 11:54pm last night.

The statement explains that the evacuees are among the first batch of 276 Nigerians airlifted from Aswan in the wake of the ongoing security challenges in Sudan.

It maintains that the effort is in furtherance of its constitutional role of aid to Civil Authority, and in line with Federal Government's commitment to rescue and successfully return back Home Nigerians living in Sudan.

The statement added that the evacuees were received by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Dr Nasir Sani Gwarzo, Director General NEMA, Ahmed Habib, and Chairman, Nigerians in diaspora Commission, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
