 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. OYO ASSEMBLY PASSES OYSCATECH BILL 2021 INTO LAW 


Oyo State House of Assembly, Tuesday passed the Oyo State College of Agriculture And Technology, OYSCATECH, Bill 2021 into law after scaling through the third reading at the floor of the house.

The passage of the Bill was sequel to the presentation and consideration of the report of the House Joint Committee on Education and Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Chairman of the committee, Hon. Peter Ojedokun said the bill will strengthen the institution and promote agriculture in Oyo State.

The Bill is to provide for the establishment, incorporation, constitution and functions of the Oyo State College of Agriculture And Technology, Igboora following its upgrade to a Polytechnic.

The College was upgraded to a Polytechnic in 2016, and can award National Diploma Certificate and Higher National Certificate.
