PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR SEEKS DEEPER SECURITY COLLABORATION WITH NAF In a bid to reinforce internal security and deepen intergovernmental collaboration, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters, Abuja, where he met with the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, DFS. The visit underscored the Governor’s commitment to leveraging strategic federal partnerships to address evolving security challenges in Plateau State and the wider North Central region, while conveying the goodwill of the government and people of the state and congratulating the CAS on his appointment as the 23rd Chief of the Air Staff. Richard Montgomery is new British High Commissioner to Nigeria

The UK government has appointed Dr Richard Montgomery as the country’s new High Commissioner to Nigeria.

 Montgomery takes over from Ms Catriona Laing who recently concluded four years as High Commissioner to Nigeria.


The UK High Commission in a statement issued in Abuja stated that Montgomery on Thursday presented his letter of credence to President Muhammadu Buhari.


It stated that Montgomery reaffirmed commitment to strengthening the ties between the UK and Nigeria.


“I look forward to working with the people of this great country, including those in government, in the private sector and in civil society.


“I will do all I can to help build a more prosperous Nigeria and strengthen the partnership between our countries”, the statement quoted him as saying.


Richard is an experienced diplomat who has worked in different parts of the world including previously in Nigeria.


Prior to becoming the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard was the UK Executive Director at the World Bank Group Board from 2018 to 2022 in Washington DC, USA.


He has held various senior positions in the Department of International Development (DFID) including; Director for Asia, Caribbean & Overseas Territories Division, Country Director for Pakistan.


He also previously served as the DFID Country Director in Nigeria from 2009 to 2013.


Montgomery has served previously at the British High Commissions in Zambia, Bangladesh and India.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
